Numerous temples (Stupas, Gu, Pyu and Mon styles), and their names were long. We visited Wetkyi-in-Gubayaukgyi (where the German collector surreptitiously removed many of the panels and left his mark), Htilominho Pahto (built by the king to whom the white umbrella leaned), Dhammayangyi Pahto (where there were two Buddhas next to each other)… just to name a few. My favorite was Ananda Pahto because the Buddhas’ expressions change depending on how far or close to the guardians you were standing… and the famous sunset spot Shwesandaw Paya on the third floor.
