Rio de Janeiro

It was all about the beach and the food - the Japanese cuisine, the comida por kilo and the usual sucos stops. Not surprisingly we ran into many people we knew in Rio de Janeiro as we all chose to hit the tourist spots on one sunny day. Obviously wished that I could just continue to travel to other parts like the other backpackers. Next time.

Apart from the brightly coloured flag and the many "obrigada"s, here is part of the tale of visiting a very small part of a very large country: In a good way, one thing I will always remember from Sao Paulo is the view from the window - not that it was really as nice as the 180 (or 360) view from Edificio Italia but the daily traffic and pollution check was true to the city. Too many highlights to list but dancing at Brazilian Night, sneaking out to the largest book fair in South America and just hanging out with the crew were some of them.
