Zagreb

Zagreb Zagreb Zagreb Zagreb
The slight detour away from the coast brought us to Zagreb, where I met Geet again. It was simply great to meet up! The most amusing thing about Zagreb was probably the "planets" scattered around the city, which would make it a great scavenger hunt activity. Inland cities in Europe are just boiling hot in summer, and that is probably why the Croatians seem to love drinking Cedevita.

Porec and Rovinj

Rovinj
Crossing over to the other side of the Adriatic coast, Porec was like a little Netherlands. When the Germans were still in Italy, the Dutch already moved further East to Croatia. Very different beach and coastline, and very different cities. In Rovinj, many houses and restuarants are built directly next to the sea.
