After driving past cities like Maribor and some smaller towns and villages, Ljubljana is a small city in the small country Slovenia but a very charming surprise. Bars and restuarants, and trees on both sides of the river gave it a great atmosphere. I also loved the castle there- in Europe there are of course many castles but Grad Ljubljana was particularly cosy and calming.
