Tampere

Like others who have so kindly welcomed me into their homes...
Finland, Tampere Finland, Tampere Finland, Tampere Finland, Tampere
...I got fed and loved how everything was in abundance
(especially an entire freezer filled only with home-made juice and jam from all sorts of berries)
Finland, Tampere Finland, Tampere Finland, Tampere Finland, Tampere
Finland, Tampere Finland, Tampere Finland, Tampere Finland, Tampere
...and the "coffee party", sauna alone, lessons on moose and that they are like little elephants. Ideapark is not where ideas are parked and Finlayson is not why Finland is called Finland.
Kiitos!

Helsinki

Finland, Helsinki Finland, Helsinki Finland, Helsinki
Finland, Helsinki Finland, HelsinkiFinland, Helsinki
Finland, Helsinki Finland, Helsinki Finland, Helsinki Finland, Helsinki

It was not as obvious as Stockholm and perhaps that's why we hear about it less. This was part of the (incomplete) Nordic tour thanks to work (woulda, coulda, shoulda). The seaview from the 7th on Strand was nice. The sun was bright and shining till late, which made it great for strolls (which eventually ended up with only 2 songs on the playlist), and it certainly made everyone happy - happy enough to just come and talk to you. It was still a place where the simplest sandwich costs 5-6EUR. The many bike lanes, many boutiques... and you've got to love Scandinavian design.
