Château de La Hulpe
[Pre-tale] In between the unplanned but rather pleasant first encounter with the familiar Anne and the planned but less pleasant "welcome to Europe" by Wavriens at -13°C, because the slightly out-of-ordinary guinea fowl and duck foie gras were served with morels, white truffles and seasonal truffles, the more ordinary salmon and shrimps had to be balanced by KASPIA caviar and black Melanosporum truffles.
Snow. Ice. Winter Wonderland with little creatures and fairy ponies running around with joy.
Strépy-Thieu
"The Strépy-Thieu boat lift (French: L'ascenseur funiculaire de Strépy-Thieu) lies on a branch of the Canal du Centre in the municipality of Le Rœulx, Hainaut, Belgium. With a height difference of 73.15 metres (240.0 ft) between the upstream and downstream reaches, it is the tallest boat lift in the world, and will remain so until the Three Gorges dam boat lift in China is finished."
Tellin and Bure
Woods-chillers in search of the Red Diamond
...plenty of protein sizzling on the barbecue, a touch of shooting stars and the grand opening of sun-bathing season for bookworms.
Bouillon
the Medival blacksmith, the 40kg cheese, Château de Bouillon, the Wise with attitude
Braving the journey of castle-hunting on a summery day of 20+ with sun against the backdrop of bare winter trees.
