Médoc was out of question thanks to Tour de France. Home of (rather obviously) the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru wines, it is an adorable medival town where wine tasting (and the canelé tasting for that matter) was superb. Small vineyards keeps many aspects of the tradition, and the plum tree outside the station was definitely a first. Scenic.
