By the time we saw the couples dancing to Spanish classics from the 50s and 60s at the foot of the lit-up monument on Place des Quinconces next to the fountains against the purple dusk sky on the last evening, we just felt that we have ran out of adjectives. This was after the musicians, the young drinking circles, the kids and grown-up kids splashing across miroir d'eau des quais. Elderly people get out to live life. Runners, cyclists and roller-bladers share the "malecón". Colourful and pattern-ful little boutiques and cosy cafes and restaurants scatters around. The high-end street ends with a lively immigrants area (in every good way).
It'd be a great place to have a Vespa. We also experienced the sub-urban area with the blue star, spent ages with one of the cows, stood at the Tour de France finishing line and almost caught a glimpse of the Hollywood crew. Just not what I expected - well perhaps except the cheese and wine. Thank you Ryan.
