Sintra was indeed a delightful destination for a relaxing day trip, for a break from all the hustle and bustle, and for a short stroll into history. For its size, the area is highly populated with monuments and historical buildings, like Castelo dos Mouros, Palacio Nacional de Sintra, Palacio Nacional da Pena and many more, but at the same time it still came across as a charming small town.
