I went to Segovia because my decision of going to Toledo was questioned. I then looked up Segovia and decided that I wanted to see the Roman wall. Despite having had seen many photos of it before going there, the sheer scale of it and especially how it was set against the backdrop of an otherwise relatively small town still silenced me (after letting out the "woah" I suppose). It almost made other attractions like Casa de los Picos, the cathedral, the alcázar, and the different plazas just not as memorable. It continued to be burning hot, and came with the small surprises of a remote train station, and a very tourist friendly information office.
