travel notes from each of the cities, towns and places I have visited.

Bucharest

Before I left Austria for South America in July 2007, I promised myself that if I ever come back to Europe to live again, I have to go to Estonia and Romania (and Greece and Turkey), especially after having had gotten to know so many Romanians in the past 3 years. Even though I didn't get to go to Beb's home town, Bucharest was much more beautiful than I imagined it to be. Communism made its mark on the architecture and rumour has it that there are extensive tunnels underground leding to the impressively large People's House. Chats with Prue and Janina, half butterfly earrings from the shopping mall, KFC's infamous garlic sauce, party at the "private recording studio", walks around the city and the park on Sunday... Bucharest it was.

Romania, BucharestRomania, BucharestRomania, BucharestRomania, BucharestRomania, Bucharest
Things just look different when you have different lens (well, or no lens) on.
