Apart from being a typical Barcelona tourist and doing things like partying till late and hanging out at the beach, I loved the atmosphere of the city, and especially the work of Antoni Gaudí. It was difficult not to be impressed by Park Güell, or La Sagrada Familia, of which the beauty of the structure is reinforced by it being incomplete. I also met a lot of fellow travellers during this trip, which is something I missed and what you don't get to enjoy much when you already have friends in the destination city- it was fun to be "backpacking" again.
