For some reason I liked Budapest much more than Prague. I enjoyed Prague too for sure, and both of these cities were beautiful. But Budapest felt more real, with more character and contrasts. The contrast was only possible as apart from the good, a certain degree of chaos, and things that were dark, dirty and old were also there, bare and visible. The city lives more for itself than for pleasing tourists. It has its unique charm and the fun travel buddies added to it. Cooking salmon pasta with a microwave was quite an experience.
